The management team is a family: Maggie and Dave Mathews and daughter Rose. They are supported by General Manager Katie Hayton, her daughter Niamh, and a team of enthusiastic and skilled team members who are trained to the highest standards.
The Angel Inn holds a huge place in the hearts of our owners, Maggie and Dave, who first ever met at The Angel in 1995! They have worked together since 2016, firstly at The Bruce Arms in West Tanfield (where they first met Katie and Niamh), then going on to run The Staveley Arms in North Stainley until early 2023. Maggie and Dave have formed numerous dynamic teams, always with their own family values underpinning them.
